An irrepressible noise in the 80s, Leah Cotterell emerged from the chaotic creativity of the Brisbane fringe to become a leading jazz singer.
In the 90s she segued into music studies and writing. After a decade producing showcase projects with her favourite artists, Leah’s recent post-graduate research has centred on exploring singing in relation to theories of emotion, empathy and intersubjectivity.
